Fabrication
Typically, a pipe grid is an array of pipes attached to a structure above the stage or playing area. Though fixed, the pipe grid is a standard way to hang scenery and lighting equipment. Normally a grid is comprised of 1.5" #40 black steel pipe. This size accommodates theatrical C-clamps found on all lighting fixtures.
Recent installations include the Video Vision Studio in Barre, Vermont; and The Putney School Auditorium stage in Putney, Vermont.
